About Steve

Steve joined the firm in 2016 after a year clerking for the Honorable Peter Hall of the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. Prior to his clerkship with Judge Hall, Steve clerked for the Honorable Marilyn Skoglund, Associate Justice of the Vermont Supreme Court.
Steve has represented towns, school districts, businesses, and individuals on a wide array of matters. He has a particular interest in First Amendment issues and public records law. His practice encompasses both transactional and civil litigation matters, including land use, contract, real estate, municipal, probate, general civil litigation, and appeals.

Personal Interests
Steve lives in Montpelier with his wife, Catherine. Together they enjoy gardening, cooking, and exploring the natural beauty of Vermont with their giant dog. Steve is formerly the DJ of an indie music program on Royalton Community Radio and served on its board. He plays soccer in leagues and tournaments throughout the state
